How to make a private WordPress blog or a private post?

WordPress comes with a built-in feature that allows you to make posts or pages private and password protected. Here is how to make a WordPress post private.

You can easily make a WordPress blog post private by following the two simple steps shown below. 

 

Making Individual Posts Private in WordPress

Step 1:

 Go to the post edit window of WordPress. 

 On the right side, below the term Publish, click on visibility and a few options appear. 

 Step 2:

There you will see the options to make a post Private or add password protection to the post. Choose the appropriate radio button to make a post private or password protected.

Example: You can set the visibility option Private by clicking on the nearby circle. Now click OK and your post becomes private from now on. You can change the settings in the same way if you wish to make your post public or password protected.
